ETHICS AND SUSTAINABILITY

We strongly believe in creating quality garments that are designed, produced and made in Australia.

We understand how harmful the clothing industry can be to the environment and as a company and new business we strive to do the best we can when it comes to minimizing our impact on the planet.

We are not perfect, but will try to always do our best to limit our harm on the environment and continue to educate ourselves on the best ways to grow and move forward in this industry.

We are constantly evolving by exploring new sustainable practices through material sourcing, design, manufacturing and our packaging.

PRODUCTION

For us one of the main ways we wanted to control our impact in this industry was to make sure that we could manufacture our products in Australia.
When we design our collections, longevity and timelessness is always at the forefront of our creations.

This is because we want our customers to be able to love and cherish the pieces for many years to come, thus limiting the need to constantly be buying more and more items of clothing.
This is also why we will be releasing small quantities in each style, in order to limit over-production and the amount of waste.

As a company, we love that from the moment of concept design to manufacturing, we are there for the whole journey, right there from start to finish. This way we can ensure that all the best measures and practices are taken in order to create our products.

PACKAGING

With so many incredible planet-friendly packaging options out there today, it was a no-brainer for us as a company to make sure that we were doing our best not to add to the harmful waste that comes with packaging.

Our orders are first packed in a garment bag that is made from home-compostable materials, mainly corn starch and PBAT.

In order to compost these at home simply cut them up and place them in a compost bin as “brown” materials, and if you don’t have a compost bin perhaps a neighbor of friend may have one. The inner garment bags will completely break down within 90-120 days in a home-compostable environment.

Our orders will then be mailed out in a certified home-compostable shipping mailer that is made from 70-80% PBAT. PBAT is a co-polymer that is completely compostable and 20-30% PLA, which is cornstarch. In a commercial compostable environment, it will break-down within 90 days. At home, it may take up to 120 days.
