Fashion has always been in the family for the pair. Starting with Kerry’s father Brian Hegarty who was a clothing Manufacturer based in Melbourne.

Some of Kerry’s first memories of the fashion industry were seeing her father jet off around the globe to places like Paris and Milan in the 60’s and 70’s to attend trunk shows and meet with suppliers.
Kerry always loved fashion and was introduced to incredible international designs when her father would return from work trips with bundles of gorgeous sample pieces.

Following in her father's footsteps, Kerry went on to work in the fashion industry by becoming a buyer for Grace Brothers and Myer. After many successful years with the company in Melbourne, Kerry then moved to Sydney to start her own business. Kerry opened and ran an incredibly successful womenswear shop in Sydney for many years.

Francesca Hung, daughter of Kerry has always loved playing dress ups, especially with all of her mother's beautiful pieces. It was no wonder that she ended up pursuing a career where fashion was at the forefront.

When Francesca finished school, she began modelling and got to see first-hand the inner workings of the fashion industry. Whilst studying a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Publishing at the University of Sydney, Francesca won the title of Miss Universe Australia and went on to represent Australia on the global stage. A year later Francesca was named E Host of Australia.

For the past 3 years Francesca has loved working as a TV host and getting the opportunity to work with renowned fashion/ beauty and lifestyle brands. For Francesca Red Carpet events were one of the most exciting parts of her job as she got to dress up and play with incredible fashion brands.

Kerry and Francesca always dreamt of starting a business together and the timing was just right for them to finally take their ideas of fashion into the real world.

And so FRANKIE LANE was born.
